This recipe is part of my Super Simple Recipes series. Healthy-ish recipes with very few ingredients that take very little prep time. Busy moms? These are for you!
Ingredients
Ground pork
Green peppers
Soy sauce or coconut aminos
Green onion, chopped (optional)
Sesame seeds (optional)
Rice, cooked (also optional)
p.s. I have added shredded carrots in the past (because we had a bag and they were about to go bad) and treated them just like the green peppers. They were a great add!
Steps
Brown ground pork over medium heat
While pork is cooking, cut up your green peppers however you prefer (we usually do thin strips or chopped) and your green onions (chopped for thin rings).
Add green peppers and soy sauce to pan when pork is about half cooked
Top pork + peppers with green onions and sesame seeds, serve as is or over rice
A little bite about the recipe
We started making this recipe after we visited Jeff’s brother and his family in Missouri a couple of years ago. They made it for dinner one of the nights we visited and we gobbled it up. And let me tell you, when I can make something taste that good with so few ingredients, it will automatically make it to my recipes list.
