Have you ever had your little one draw on your wall? Your clothes? Their clothes? Their little sister? Yeah. Sometimes it’s a kid-safe marker. Sometimes it’s a Sharpie. Either way, it’s usually a slight heart attack when you first see the aftermath. Well. Let’s be dramatic for a second, shall we? THESE ARE THE BEST MARKERS EVER AND YOU NEED THEM IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU HAVE KIDS.
Ok. Let me explain myself.
The best markers for children
I don’t normally get this hyped up about a product, but finding the best markers for toddlers is an important venture when you’re a mom that has aspirations for leaving markers in the same room as your kid at a reachable length, whether you’re there or not. I have those aspirations because I really encourage independent play. And the wonderful thing is, getting these kid safe markers on the wall, the furniture, the younger sibling — those are risks I’m willing to take when it comes to these magical markers.
The best markers for kids are made by Crayola and they are the Ultra-Clean Washable markers. Pay attention because that is the most important part, they have to be the Ultra-Clean Washable version.
Why are these kid-friendly markers the best markers for toddlers?
If it’s not already obvious, Crayola has made a washable marker that puts other washable markers to shame (even their OG washable markers). On the box they claim that they can wash them from hands (or faces, let’s be honest), clothing, and walls with ease.
I would be skeptical, but, with the help of my children, I have battle-tested these washable markers for toddlers to see if they are truly as washable and magical as they claim — AND THEY ARE.
I have successfully removed these markers from my 18-month old’s face, my 3-year-old’s legs, the light green suede chair from World Market we keep in our playroom, our high chair, several walls, the girls’ little helper stand, a rug, and a bed comforter. I think we can be done testing, yes girls?
Goodbye to all other markers
If you need one more note about just how much I love these and think they are the best markers for kids here you have it — I donate or throw out all other markers. It’s a better life when I don’t have to think about green and purple walls. Facts.
