Star Power walking pad is the under desk walking pad that I got in December 2022 and I became obsessed quickly! If you’ve been eyeing a walking pad for under desk, in your living room, or wherever, I would definitely consider the Star Power under desk treadmill as a top option.
Star Power walking pad (now SupeRun) and other walking pad research
When I first started researching under desk walking pad for my work rom home office slash guest room set up, I knew I wanted something reliable, portable, wide and long enough for my tall frame (I’m 6′), and reasonably priced. The Umay desk walking pad showed up a lot. It’s the walking pad for desk that went viral on TikTok and I considered it for a while, but it really didn’t have any features that the Star Power didn’t and it was easily $200 more, even when it was on sale.
Star Power treadmill reviews (now SupeRun)
Star Power treadmill, walking pad, and other products are well reviewed on Amazon and on their site, but the volume of reviews isn’t super high, and they don’t have much of a presence on social media. So, I was a bit skeptical, but I’ve been using the Star Power treadmill for under my desk for nearly two months and I have no complaints!
A few of my favorite things…
This portable treadmill for under desk is easily moved from place to place. I typically use it 3 times a day and move it next to my desk when I’m not using it.
The Star Power walking pad has a dashboard with the time lapsed, speed, mileage, and calories burned.
There is a simple remote to turn the under desk walking page on and off, adjust the speed, and change the information the display is showing. I keep the remote in a specific spot on my desk so I don’t misplace it, it’s about the size of a Roku remote.
When I was researching options, I noticed that the width on the Star Power walking pad was wider than several of the options.
There are walking pads that can go faster than this option so if you plan to walk faster than 3.8 mph or you plan to jog on your walking pad, you might want to look at other options. For me, the walking pad is strictly a way to get more movement and energy while I’m working at my desk job. I typically go 2.8 mph while working, you have to find the speed that works for you!
If you’re in the market for a walking pad, the Star Power under desk walking pad is a great option!
If you end up getting one, let me know what you think and email me (syd@sydnord.com) if you want to snag my Walking Pad Mileage tracker on Google Sheets! I’m happy to share it with you.
